Junior Video Editor / Video Editor Intern

Storylabworks, a unit of Genval, is an agency that is rearing to create an impact driven by its transformative vision and offers a dynamic and rapidly growing startup agency experience. We have very many projects for some of the best in the industry covering a variety of work areas. We are on the lookout for creative and passionate individuals who may be recent graduates or freshers with limited experience but possess a strong desire to learn and contribute to our creative team.

GLDP is an exclusive leadership development track wherein we recruit interns and freshers with little or no experience and expose them to a variety of tasks that give them up to date practical knowledge and skill to thrive in the communication and creative industries. This is a program that fast-tracks your career progression and is only meant for those who are keen to invest their time in mastering and emerge as most sought after in the industry

Video Editor - RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Video Editor, you will join the founding team to create a recognized learning and coaching organization for the generations to come. The job roles are as follows:

  • Edit and assemble raw footage into polished videos that align with brand objectives for social media and other digital platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with the content creation team to understand project requirements and effectively translate concepts into compelling visual stories.
  • Apply creative video editing techniques, transitions, effects, and animations to enhance the visual appeal and narrative flow of videos.
  • Ensure consistency in style, tone, and branding across all video content produced.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, video editing software, and emerging technologies to continually improve video production quality.

Video Editor candidate’s preferred Qualifications

Experience & Skills:
  • Your interest is of greater value than experience - it is great if you have proven experience, but it is not essential
  • Proficiency in video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.
  • Strong grasp of video editing techniques, transitions, and effects.
Creativity & Innovation:
  • Creative mindset to generate engaging and visually appealing content.
  • Ability to maintain brand consistency while adapting to various styles.
Technical Knowledge:
  • Understanding of different video formats, resolutions, and codecs.
  • Skills in color correction, audio editing, and basic motion graphics.
Adaptability & Collaboration:
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to manage changing project requirements and deadlines.
Continuous Learning & Awareness:
  • Eagerness to stay updated with industry trends and new editing technologies.
  • Willingness to learn and improve skills for enhanced video production quality.
Education:

A degree or diploma in Film Studies, Media Production, or related fields is advantageous but not always mandatory if skills and experience are robust.

Location

While some of us are working out of Chennai, we are quite flexible and have experience with the required setup to ensure efficient work-from-home operations with regular briefing sessions, feedback sessions, and team meetings, etc.
